In the early months of 1692, Betty Parris and Abigail Williams suffered the affliction of a "witch." To the Puritans, this wasn't a coincidence, as this occurred in the home of Reverend Parris, the Minister of Salem Village. No longer was the Devil on their doorstep—he was in their very homes.  

 

Over the coming months, fear spread like wildfire, as their city on a hill was beset by spectral attacks by witches. Our Salem witch tour attempts to understand the whys and how that the Salem Witch Trials unfolded how they did.
